McDonough Holland & Allen PC moves to 500 Capitol Mall in Sacramento, effective today, after more than 35 years at 555 Capitol Mall. McDonough was the first law firm to secure a lease, more than one year ago, with 500 Capitol Mall, a 25-story high-rise office building in Sacramento’s downtown core. The 172 employees in the firm's Sacramento office are occupying 67,500 square feet of space for a 15-year lease term.

“We had been in our previous space since 1973 and, given the firm’s evolution and changing needs, started the search for a new home that fit our 21st century business model. 500 Capitol Mall provides state-of-the-art technology capabilities, a new conference center, and centrally located records and library services. We have been looking forward to this transition as a way to operate more efficiently and cost-effectively and to serve our clients even better than before,” said McDonough’s Managing Shareholder Edward J. Quinn, Jr.

Developed by and owned by Tsakopoulos Investments, 500 Capitol Mall features granite exteriors and interiors and boasts on-site property management, a fitness center, ten levels of parking and ground floor retail spaces. As a benefit to signing the lease well before the building was completed, McDonough was able to obtain a competitive lease.
