After six months of demolition, site preparation, and basement construction, structural steel crews will be arriving at 500 Capitol Mall. Crews from Gayle Manufacturing in Woodland, CA will be on site on November 5^th.

By Tuesday, "it will be gangbusters," says Dave Glazier, superintendent of contracting firm Rudolph and Sletten told Sacramento Bee columnist Bob Shallet.

After a fast start, developer Tsakopoulos Investments expects the front portion of the building's first eight floors to be framed within two weeks. “Excitement and visibility always builds when people see steel,” says Angelo G. Tsakopoulos

By mid-December, a 600-foot-high crane will be installed to begin work on the upper floors.
